Xin (Sharon) Yang received her Ph.D. in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Southern Methodist University in 2024. Her doctoral research focused on developing tools for biomolecular modeling and simulation, which involved bridging two numerical methods-based Poisson-Boltzmann solvers, optimizing for parallel computing using HPC, and augmenting with machine learning approaches. Sharon has joined the BioHPC team as a computational scientist intern and is enthusiastic about contributing to UT Southwestern's research community.
