Gaudenz Danuser and Liqiang Wang will discuss important changes to BioHPC’s hardware acquisition and amortization/charge-back policies. They will outline the rationale behind the policy shifts and offer advice on planning for increasing IT cost in the lab or cost mitigation in times of growing demand for scientific computing, especially GPU-based computing. Both are eager to answer your questions and receive your feedback, so that we can ensure this collegial resource will continue to effectively support innovative research. The session targets BioHPC users, PIs, Department/Center Chairs and Administrators.
