Chinthak Murali completed his PhD in Physics from University of Texas at Dallas in 2023. His dissertation research focused on implementing various machine learning methods in the detection and characterization of astrophysical gravitational wave signals from black holes. After his PhD, Chinthak joined as a postdoctoral researcher (Schmidt AI Fellow) at Cornell University AI for Science Institute, where he worked on developing deep learning models for the arrival time estimation of pulse signals from astrophysical pulsars. Chinthak joined UTSW in June of 2024.
